He is survived by: his wife Irene James; his children, Joshua James (Natalie Kemp) and Anica James (Mitch Ward); his grandchildren, Grayson, Georgia, Reese and Aubrey; his siblings, Christine Brandon, Nancy James (Bill Bassett) and Scott James; his aunt Vi Lee; his stepmother-in-law Jean Hancock; his siblings-in-law, John Lean (Margaret), Bob Lean (Maxine) and Janet Lean (Larry Wayne); and his nephews, Jared Brandon and Kirk Szafranski. He is also survived by many other friends and relatives.
