He was predeceased by: his mother Elna Petersen; and his brother Allan Petersen. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Petersen; his children, Emily Kunder (Neeraj), Cole Petersen (Emily) and Benjamin Petersen (Victoria Johnson); his mother-in-law Marilyn Dallin; his sister-in-law Dorothy Tully Petersen (Michael Bridge); his nephews, Derek and Curtis Petersen; his brother-in-law Doug Dallin (Lisa Major); his niece Ashley Dallin; and his nephews, Jordan and Jack Dallin.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ashburnham Funeral Home (840 Armour Rd, Peterborough, ON K9H2A2).
