He was predeceased by: his parent-in-law John Dovak. He is survived by: his spouse Cheryl; his daughter Helen (Zac) of Whitehorse; his parents, Peter Crate and Sharon Crate of Peterborough; his siblings, Stephen Crate (Carolyn) of Cornwall and Shelley Crate of Cobourg; his parent-in-law Estelle Dovak; and his friend Glen Roberts. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
