He was predeceased by: his daughter Dawn; his parents, Eileen Smale and John Smale; his sibling Jackie; and his father-in-law Vince.

He is survived by: his spouse Gail; his son David (Tracy) of Norwood; his grandchildren, Demi (Chad), Bret and Bradley; his great grandchild Beckett of Norwood; his mother-in-law Aileen Bagshaw; and his canine pal Katie.
