He was predeceased by: his wife Alma (Howran); his mother Matilda; his brother Douglas; and his father Cecil P. Mackenzie. He is survived by: his siblings, Sonja Colombe (late Ken), Suzanne Ward (Mark), Cecil Mackenzie (Maureen), Pam Mackenzie, Natalie Koziana (Dale) and Cec. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the RCLB #338, Harrow.
