Gertrude Whitney Jungnickel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gertrude Whitney Jungnickel (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on October 5, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Farrell and Jeanette Farrell; her husbands, Clarence Whitney and Heinz Jungnickel; and her daughter Sharon Dowdall.

She is survived by: her sister Ghislaine Holek (Tony); her children, Donna Bolam, Richard (Linda) and Shawn Whitney; her grandchildren, Tanya Dowdall, Jodie Runyan (Damon), Amie Dowdall (Anita), Danielle Dowdall, Lynda Newman (Joe), Ben Bolam (Leigh), Christopher Bolam (Dawn), Allison Whitney, Jake Whitney (Stephanie) and Keegan Whitney; her great grandchildren, Taylor Ferreira, Cai Bolam, Elliott Bolam, Emma Bolam, Zachary Bolam, Caleb Bolam, Elly Whitney and Ruby Runyan; her brother Terry Crawford; and also, Big and Norman Farrell (Muguette). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Hospice Peterborough or the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
