Though Helen Frances may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of our lives, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Wallwork and Edith Wallwork; and her son Kelly. She is survived by : her former life partner Vic Homewood; her daughters, Vikki, Karen and Cathy; and her husband Douglas Markwick.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Nisbett Funeral Home (600 Monaghan Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J5H9). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.

“In loving memory of Helen Frances Homewood-Markwick, Doug, Vikki, Karen, Cathy and families; It is with a heavy heart that I express my condolences. Aunt Babe (Helen) was a wonderful woman. I have so many fond memories of visits with her, After we lost Dad, she was always there for Mom and I recall those visits with fondness and admiration. She will be missed. Sending love and light.
