Helen leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Helen’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Helen will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her son Paul Hasenecker; her brother Bart Mitchell; and her sister-in-law Marie Baehrle (Gus). She is survived by: her daughters, Suzy Stout (Craig) and Jane Warden; her sister-in-law Marsha Mitchell; her nieces, Dr. Leanne Baehrle and Dayna O'Brien; and her nephew Brad Mitchell.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Alphonsus Liguori Church (1066 Western Ave, Peterborough, ON K9J5W6). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J1C5).
