He was predeceased by: his parent Ahti Kettunen; and his siblings, Kaarina Kettunen (Bob Parkinson) and Lauri Kettunen (Tiina Vallik). He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Mark Kettunen (Lorraine), Katelynn Mahoney (Dylan) and Lindsay Lunau (Cameron); his grandchildren, Caitlin, Damian, Maya, Josephine and Callum; his great grandchild Raven; and his sister Arja Rasanen (Raimo).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the PRHC Foundation for Cancer Care.
