He was predeceased by: his wife Edna May; his grandson Colin Ness; his son-in-law Doug Owen; his brothers, George and Bill; and his parents, Ruben and Edna.

He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Torrance (Jim) of Buckhorn and Lynne Owen of Florida; his granddaughters, Erin, Jennifer and Meghan; his great grandchildren, Nile, Griffin, Vivian, Finnegan and Fern; and his brother Bob (Jean). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in Jack's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice through the funeral home.
