He is survived by: his son Peter Smit (Barb Malcome); his grandchildren, Josh, Dustin, Cassandra (Adam) and Michael (Adele); his daughter Marlaine Bennett (Eric); his grandchildren, Kyle, Chelsey (David) and Jasmine (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Juniper and Carmen; his son Michael Smit (Terri); his grandsons, Will and Tom; the mother of his children Jans Lankhorst; and his siblings, Aut, Corry, Teresa and Loes. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.
