It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Alfred Maley (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on August 30, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Irene Maley; his parents, James and Martha; and his siblings, Margaret Kelly, Doris Dorman, Laura Jewett, Lois Jean Maley, Kenneth Maley, Harris Maley and Mitchell Maley.

He is survived by: his children, Rose Ann Rea (Graeme), Sheila Tremblay (Dennis), Jim Maley (Susan) and Nan Burke (Paul); and his niece Irene Smyth of England. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

In memory of Jim donations may be made to Hospice Peterborough.

“We were so saddened to hear your news, about your loss of your Dad. He and your Mon touched, so many hearts. Carl and I have very special memories, we will never forget. We met at shady acres. They both were so kind and thoughtful friends. After both of us sold our trailers, the friendship still continued. We had many many suppers together. Your family, were very blessed , to have such wonderful, loving parents., Now they are together. Hugs to all , for your loss.”
