It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Arthur Craig (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carolyn; his children, Rob (Jackie), Karen Craig-Chizmeshya (Gord) and Sue van Yzendoorn (Hans); his grandchildren, Andrew (Chloe), Becky (Mike), Kenzie (Eric), Ali (Dan), Sydney-Quinn and Anton (Sam); his great grandchildren, Hannorah, Charlotte, Myles, Mayve, Calvin and Miller; his siblings, Dianne Hauri (Werner), Allan, Robert (Betty Ann), Marie, Joe (Rosario) and Ted (Betsy); and his parents, Robert Craig and Sophie Primeau.

In lieu of flowers, Jim requested that donations be made to the specific Train Fund for the Riverview Park & Zoo and to the Gleaners Program.

“Jim has left his mark on Peterborough. He was dedicated, capable, loyal. Our water system in Peterborough is in good condition because of Jim. A short story, we had the High Street tank painted. The word Peterborough was put in a different place that it had been, which was, the full word Peterborough could be seen while driving on Clonsilla going into the City. Jim mad them do it right. I noticed on one of the TV ads by the Chamber of Commerce, it shows a picture of that scene. Bob Lake.”
