It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Joseph Hayes (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on November 7, 2018, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his spouse Mary Ila; his children, Linda Conroy (David), Mary Lynn Hayes (Fred Renkewitz) and Sharon Lee Mowat; his grandchildren, Christa Voortman (Ed), Cory Sealy, Ryan McMinn (Rebecca McReavey), Lindsay McConachie (Matt), Paul Conroy (Kelly) and Steven Conroy (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Lauren, Raquel, Jake, Daniel, Cohen and Chase; and his siblings, Marie Dumas (late Ray), Francis Deneault (Norm), Betty Christie (late Bernie), Helen Demoe (late Jimmy), Donald Hayes (Elaine), Rita Saxon (Gerry) and Rose Kearsey (Al).
