She is survived by: her wife Maria Vellekoop; her stepchildren, Jean DeVries (Irwin), Fred Vellekoop (Carol), Martin Vellekoop (Cynthia) and John Edward Vellekoop (Jennifer); and her grandchildren, Erika (Chad), Justin, Eric (Aleasha), Jacky (Brandon), Adam, Josiah, Bethany and Jordan (Elizabeth).

Donations can be designated in lieu of flowers to the Palliative Care Unit of the Peterborough Regional Health Centre in gratitude for their faithful support.
