It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Edwin Dorrington of Peterborough, Ontario, who passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Carol Pettinger (Ron); and his parents, Ed Dorrington and Rose Dorrington (Byers). He is survived by: his wife Lorna Dorrington (Moore); his children, Michelle Bedore (Dorrington) and Mark Dorrington (Melanie) of Winnipeg, MB; his grandchildren, Clare, Myles and Sophie; and his siblings, Rosemary Wilson (Mel), Patricia Milligan (late Peter), Linda Nadeau (John), Frank Dorrington (Cindy) and Wendy McDonald (Dennis).
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J1C5). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at the Highland Park Cemetery, Highland Park Chapel (55 St Clair Ave W Suite 500, Toronto, ON M4V2Y7).
