He was predeceased by: his spouse Muriel; and his siblings, Melville (Agnes), Sadie (Harold) and Doris. He is survived by: his children, Jim (Wendy) and Ron (Barb); his grandchildren, Kathleen (Ryan), Sharon, Daniel (Katelyn), Meghan, Blaire, Dana and Adam; his great grandchild Rowan; and his siblings-in-law, Jean and Aubrey.

Donations in memory of John can be made to the Parkinson Canada or the Memorial Fund at Northminster United Church.
