He is survived by: his wife Mary McCarthy; his sons, Scott (Birgitte) and Jay (Gayle); his granddaughters, Julia, Olivia and Jennifer; his sister Jeanne Moran (late Ed); and his nieces and nephews, Mark (Jeanie), K. C. (Laura), Holly and Laureen (Derek).

In his memory, donations to Community Care Peterborough & Wheels of Hope (Canadian Cancer Society transportation program) would be appreciated by the family.
