He was predeceased by: his sisters, Frances Stewart and Jackie Hudson. He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Pearce; the father of his child Scott Pearce (Regina); his daughter Lisa Freer; his grandchildren, Michael, Alexandra Pearce and Spencer Freer; his brothers-in-law, Percy Stewart and Frank Mitton (JoAnne); and his friend Judy. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and their children, as well as his many extended family.
