John Robert Scott Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robert Scott (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on February 23, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Benjamin Scott and France Marie Darte; and his sister Helen Scott. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, David Scott (Lelia), Jenny Weigh (Simon) and Carolyn Best (Darrin); his grandchildren, Brayden, Cadence, Jules and Milli; his stepmother Marilyn Scott; and his siblings, Peter Scott (Hazel), Anne Couturier (Jean Claude), Tom Scott (Joyce), Kathie Scott, George Scott (Jennifer Parry), Jay Scott, Mary Beth Andrews (Chris), David Scott (Kathy) and Karin Scott.

During Covid, he wrote three novels and he continued publishing his humorous, weekly column "Scott Free" for his first paper – now the Fort Erie Observer.

In lieu of flowers and in his memory, donations to Hospice Peterborough would be greatly appreciated by the family.
