He was predeceased by: his wife Estelle; his brother-in-law John Muldowney; his parents, James Shaughnessy and Loretta Fitzgerald; his siblings, Helen Muldowney, Reginald (Mary), William (Mary), Patrick (Verna), John, James (Alberta), Harry, Paul and Clare Shaughnessy; and his brothers-in-law, Jim, Tom, Bud and Theo Collins.

He is survived by: his children, Gregory Shaughnessy (Irene), Kathryn Drumm (Frank), Justine Shaughnessy (John McNamara), Ann Bowen (David), Julie Byers, Sally (Sister Sarah) and Patti Fitzgerald (Leo); his grandchildren, Kylie, Sarah, Grace Shaughnessy, Brennan Drumm (Christine), Kelly Kloosterman (Steve), Ryan Drumm, Shaughn Craig (Chuck), Timothy English, Erin Hancock (Daryl), Matt Bowen (Lindsay), Kathleen Douglas (Mark), Tara Powell (Matthew), Kathryn Byers, Molly and Luke Fitzgerald; his great grandchildren, Ava, Bria, Leo, Levi, Max, Jameson, Olivia, Elizabeth, Reganne, Delaney, Michael, Isabella, McKenna, Ben, Aislynnn, Sam, Addelyn and Henry; his siblings, Thomas (Marie) and Terry (Margaret); and his sisters-in-law, Rita, Marjorie and Darlene Shaughnessy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, exteded family and friends.
