He was predeceased by: his sister Noreen Calvert. He is survived by: his children, Craig O'Brien (Holly) and Carolyn Brethour (Jay); his grandchildren, Samuel, Cheyenne O'Brien, Hailey, Hannah and Colin Brethour; his sisters, Patsy Hubble (Garnet), Joan Clements (John) and Linda Payne (Eric); and his brother-in-law Bob Calvert. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation – ICU or a charity most meaningful to the donor.
