She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William Peter Leahy; her son John Leahy; her parents, John Burfield and Hilda Thompson; her son Patrick (Denise); her grandchildren, Robin and Andrea Plumley (Troy); her stepgrandson Lawrence LaBossiere; her daughter Patricia Sweeting (late Derrick); her granddaughters, Tasha LaFave (Kris), Jodi LaFave (Jay) and Cassandra Sweeting (Bill); her daughter Penny Leahy-Belsey (Peter); her granddaughters, Samantha Cormier Jenna (Brandon) and A. J. Belsey Josh Belsey (Tara); her daughter Terri-Lynn Leahy-LaFreniere (Dion); her granddaughter Amanda Sanzo Michael (Nicola); and her siblings, Gayle Gordon Donald (late Norm), Norma Williamson (Bill), John Harry (Violet) and Butch.
In memory of Jean and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Ladies Auxiliary to Branch 52 sports fund (as she loved her sports) would be appreciated by the family.
