She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Verpoorte (Bart) and Dr. Marc Verpoorte (Christine); her grandchildren, Jacob Verpoorte (Kaylena) and Kathleen Cowling-Verpoorte (John); and her siblings, Adelbert van Miert, Jeroen van Miert, Wilbert van Miert and Godelief Hofman-van Miert.
