With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Ann Lightbody (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on October 27, 2022 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Bob; and her sister-in-law Margaret (Gordon Robb). She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah (Sandy Keay) and Dr. Tamara Lightbody (Rick Murdock); her grandchildren, Adam, Thomas Keay, Ellie and Lucas Murdock; her sister Donna (Don Dickinson); and her niece Judy (Brett).

Margie's legacy and spirit will live on through her lifelong contributions to community starting as Head Girl and Cheerleading Captain at PCVS, through years of teaching at Adam Scott CVI, over 50 years of involvement with Trent University Board and Alumni, as a member of Survivors Abreast and Peterborough's Dragon Boat Festival, the Osteoporosis Golf Tournament, PRHC Foundation Board and the Closer to Care Campaign, The Peterborough Bridge Club, and the Riverpark Village Social Committee.
