She was predeceased by: her parents, Solan William Nixon and Isabel Oke Nixon. She is survived by: her husband Walter Shephard; her son Victor John Rasmussen of Wenatchee; her grandson Bryan (Krista); her great grandchildren, Marshall, Adler, Bodie and Lucie; her siblings, Bill Nixon, Wray Nixon and Carolyn Joore; and her nephew Michael (Paula Joore). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In her memory, donations to Doctor's Without Borders, or The Nature Conservancy of Canada would be appreciated by her family.
