He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Watkins and Leverda Watkins; his sister Julie; his in-laws, Myles and Gertrude Huddlestone; his cousin Erica McNevin; his nephew Ryan Huddlestone; and his aunts and uncles, Lloyd (Dorothy), Beaulah Crockett (William), Vivian Griffith (Cyril), Charlotte Maxi (Arthur), Clarence, Claude, James and Renard Murray.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene; his siblings, David (Kim), Abby (Craig) and Pearl (Habib); his uncle Dorrie Murray; his in-laws, Gary (Debbie), Byrd, William (Sharon), Edward Huddlestone and Janice Whatman (Rick); and his close friend Barry Doner (Diane). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nisbett Funeral Home (600 Monaghan Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J5H9). A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Rosemount Memorial Gardens (2551 Whittington Dr, Peterborough, ON K9J0G5). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
