She was predeceased by: her daughter Debra; her parents, Heinrich Suttorp and Helene Suttorp (Grosse Kleimann); her brother Heinz; and her foster brother Eugene "Eugie" Proznuik.
She is survived by: her husband Hugh Phillip Carmichael; her children, Kelly (John Purcell), Tracey (Linton Harrison), Janet (Andrew Snare) and Kimberley; her grandchildren, Jack, Alex, Damian, Monica and Emma; and her sisters, Hiltrud, Irene, Helen and Cecelia.
