She was predeceased by: her husband William James Murray Armstrong (Jim); her parents, Wes Downer and Lillian Downer; and her siblings, Alma Hooton (Fred), Harvey Downer, Harold Downer, Stan Downer (Kit) and Russell Downer (Marj).

She is survived by: her children, Susan Calver of Toronto, Marina Ballentyne (Doug) of Hamilton, Wendy DeCarlo (Emile) of Peterborough, Sally Hendren (Steve) of Peterborough, Tom Armstrong (Denise) of Millbrook and Grace Hunt (Darren) of Bowmanville. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
