She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dr. Hawthorne and Virginia; her husband John "Bosley" Thomas of Baltimore, Maryland.; her sisters, Helen Finley of Kingston and April Steele of Gabriola Island; her siblings' children, Rebecca Steele of Shawnigan Lake, Christopher Finley of Washington, DC, Heath Finley of Peterborough and Nigel Ruse of Toronto; and her friend Adelio Demonte of Peterborough. She was also cherished by seven grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
