He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stinson and Isabelle Stinson; and his sisters, Dora Ann Stinson (Ted) and Mary Belle Jarman (Phillip). He is survived by: his wife Jane Stinson; his children, Jennifer Piepgras (Steve) of Minnesota, Matthew Stinson of Washington and Colleen Meadows (Matthew) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Evan, Ellie, Ryan, Jack, Jesse, Ava and Allie; his brother David Stinson (Heather); his siblings-in-law, Ruth Long (Bruce) and Bill Clarke (Ellie); and his sibling's children, Scot, Shelley, Peter, Angela, Kristen, Jeffrey, Michael, Bryan, Daniel, Nicole, Kevin and Sydney.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Maurice's memory may be made to Primrose Donkey Sanctuary or Princess Margaret Hospital, two causes close to his heart.
