It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxwell Herman Sexsmith (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on February 9, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gary and Deborah Sexsmith-Vanderhulst. He is survived by: his children, Mark (Andrea) and Jennifer Morton (Brian); his friend Joan Mackay; and his sister-in-law Irene Sexsmith. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

“It is with deepest sadness that I mourn the passing of Max, my friend and colleague for many years. We first met as hospital employees at both St Joe's and Civic. We kept up this friendship, encountering each other on the soccer fields as Old Timer Soccer players. I was always admiring of his skills as a carver of soapstone and his love of teaching this craft to others. His carvings reflected his love, understanding and knowledge of the great outdoors.
