He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Johnson (Mitchell); his parents, Charlie Johnson and Dorothy Johnson; his siblings, Allan, Eric and Donna Downer; his grandson Cameron Coulas; and his sister-in-law Daisy Johnson.

He is survived by: his children, Barbara Connolly Derring (Tony), Joanne (Coulas), Mary Babcock and Norman Johnson (Jenn); his grandchildren, Alexandria Vandermeer, Adam Babcock (Danielle), Amanda Babcock (Shane), Angelica Coulas, Sarah Connolly, Meghan Johnson, Emma Johnson, Blair Allenson and David Allenson; his great grandchildren, Ben Coulas, Adrian Coulas, Nova Babcock, Ivan Babcock and Wren Vandermeer; and his siblings, Clifford Johnson, Morley Johnson (Kathy), Wilma Flannigan (John) and Doug Johnson. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, adored him along with their friends and the children of his close friends.
