She was predeceased by: her husband John Simpson; her significant other Don Smith; her parents, Salvatore Longo and Rose Longo; and her siblings, Catherine Reader (late Alex), Jack Longo (Marion) and Tony Longo (Colette).

She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Roote; her grandchildren, Cassidy and Dalton; and her siblings, Larry Longo (Barb), Marie Condon (late Joseph) and Margaret Hope (Warren).
