He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen English and Hazel English; and his siblings, Ross, Jack, Glenn, Mark, Mary and David.

He is survived by: his wife Joan; his daughters, Kim van Bruinessen (Danny) and Terri-Lynn Hayes; his grandchildren, Jenn (Keri), Michael (Lisa), Mitchell (Melissa), Adam and Katie (Shane); his brothers, Clinton (Dawn) and Gaius (Bryan); his sisters-in-law, Lois and Doreen; Michayla, Eleanor, Breanna, Aiden, Landon, Bennett, Henry, Beau and Logan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In memory of Paul, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or ALS Society of Canada, two charities that were close to his heart.
