He was predeceased by: his wife Joan; his parents, John Thompson and Ella Thompson; and his sister Anne Kilburn. He is survived by: his children, Anne (Dino), Ian (Victoria), Michael (Kelly Anne) and David (Elizabeth); and his grandchildren, Connor (Ashley), Owen (Veronique), Bronwyn (Eric), Madeline (Bruno), Hugh, Margaret, Henry (Jessica) and Peter.
