It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Pietro Venneri of Peterborough, Ontario, who passed away at the age of 92, on October 24, 2025. He was predeceased by: his wife Antonietta; his sisters, Rosina Vizza (late Nardo) and Lina Mauro (late Frank); and his parents, Francesco Venneri and Maria (Berardi).
He is survived by: his daughters, Maria Morgan (Steve) and Cathy Basciano (Jim); his grandchildren, Shawn Morgan, Derek Morgan, Ashleigh Basciano (Spencer Litton) and Jenna Basciano; his great grandchild Myles Litton; and his sister Ada Colacci (late Frank). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J1C5). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Alphonsus Liguori Roman Catholic Church (1066 Western Ave, Peterborough, ON K9J5W6). A burial will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at the St. Peter's Cemetery (870 High St, Peterborough, ON K9J5R2).
