He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Ayotte of Douro and Catherine Casey of Douro; and his siblings, Eileen Wray (Gord), Marjorie Cain (Harold), Harold, Teresa, Marie Hoey (Basil), Frank, Jean Moloney (Victor) and Bernard Dwyer.

He is survived by: his spouse Lucille; his children, Gary (Diane Edgar), Debbie and Denise (Rob Herron); his grandchildren, Katie Ayotte (Sam Kong), Paul Ayotte and Harry Herron; his great grandchildren, Lucy Kong, Theo Kong and Bryce Kong; and his sisters-in-law, Thalia Ayotte, Veronica Dwyer and Margaret Dwyer.
