He was predeceased by: his brother Maurice McMahon; his brothers-in-law, Bob Fitzgerald (Irma) and Kenny Fitzgerald; and his parents, Dennis McMahon and Madeline McMahon.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his children, Mark (Marnie) and Carrie Grant (James); his grandchildren, Cameron and Kylie Grant; his siblings, Ann Ryan (late Bill), Eugene McMahon (Trish Fitzgerald), Bill McMahon (Kay) and Theresa Burnett (Al); his siblings-in-law, Terry Fitzgerald (Marlene), Mary McKeiver (Carl), Ann Welsh (late Wayne) and Paul Fitzgerald; Lylah Taylor.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J1C5). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church (300 Wilson St, Peterborough, ON K9J1T2). A burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at the Highland Park Cemetery (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J 1C5).
In memory of Bob, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kingston I.C.U Kidd Davies Foundation, or PRHC would be appreciated by his family.
