He is survived by: his wife Christina (Chris); his brother Stephen McCarthy (late Norma) of Cobourg, Ontario; his children, Karen Byvelds (Jamie) of Ottawa, Ontario and Michael McCarthy (Grace) of Wallingford, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Connor and A. J. of Wallingford, Connecticut; his nephew Kyle McCarthy (Jennifer); his niece Sarah McCarthy; and his cousin Mike Moyer (Louise).
