He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Shelton (Mongraw); his sibling Shirley Moncrief (John); and his siblings-in-law, Ann Duffie, Randy Mongraw (Amelia) and Murray Babbs (late Maureen).
He is survived by: his children, Tracey (Scott Horsburgh) and Paul (Shiri Bartman); his grandchildren, Colette, Tyler and Dylan; his friend Marlene Parent; and his niece Jane Mark.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the PRHC Palliative Care Unit, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Peterborough Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
