He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Barry Kilborn; and his parents, William Cavanagh and Opal Driscoll. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Gary (Michelle Draper), Tracey Cavanagh, Mickey (Lisa) and Cory (Sarah); his grandchildren, Alexandria, Kathryn, Connor, Cole, Bayley, Brooke and Larissa; his sister Betty Ann Ahern (late Dave); and his siblings-in-law, June Aulbrook (late Bud), Gwen Garton (Ted), Chris Kilborn, Bev Kilborn and Rod Kilborn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In his memory, donations to Mount Sinai Hospital would be appreciated by his family.
