He was predeceased by: his mother Marlene Barassin; and his mother-in-law Carol. He is survived by: his father Mike Barassin; his fiancée Erica; his children, Jeff, Emily, Angalee and Cole; his grandchildren, Levi-Cade and Leah-Anne; his sister Cindy Wilson; his nieces, Cassidy (Brandon), Shelby (Rodolfo), Mikaela, Madison and Marissa; and his great-nephew Jackson. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Nisbett Funeral Home (600 Monaghan Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J5H9). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Shawn's memory to organizations supporting mental health awareness and services—a cause close to the hearts of those who loved him.
