She was predeceased by: her daughter Catherine Louise Ewald; and her parents, Marshall Gordon and Emma Gordon. She is survived by: her significant other George Ewald; her children, Colleen Kennedy (Stephen), George Ewald (Karen) and Andrea Nasato (Jay); her grandchildren, Ryan (Sue), Raechelle (Dave), Jenny (Mat), Graeme (Stef), Charity (Don), Josh, Piper and Ryder; her great grandchildren, Jade, Hayden, Wyatt, Hunter, George, Sam, Elouise and Jules; her great great grandchildren, Declan and Kohen; and her sisters, Audrey Houghton (late Phil) and Carolyn Selby (Don). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
If so desired, donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland and Haliburton, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
