It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Johnston (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Shirley had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Shirley may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Frank; and her siblings, Moya and Martin. She is survived by: her children, Karen (Tom Bak) and John; and her brother Robin. She is also survived by her brother, sister-in-laws, as well as her many loved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J1C5).
In lieu of flowers, donations made in her memory to the Cancer Society or PRHC Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
