The passing of Shirley Wilma Dale of Peterborough, Ontario, born in Montréal, Québec leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 29, 2025 at the age of 96. Though Shirley Wilma may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shirley Wilma touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her husband William "George" Dale; and her sisters, Margaret Round (Bill) and Maureen Johnston-Main (Frank). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and very special cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Peterborough Humane Society or Kawartha Food Share in honour of Shirley would be appreciated.

Shirley's upbeat, positive attitude on life was a joy to experience. We reconnected when my partner and I relocated to Toronto in 2000. I always enjoyed my phone calls with Shirley and occasional lunches in Peterborough. Shirley, you will be missed! Enjoy reuniting with George and your many friends that have gone before you.
