With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sophie Baytalan (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on April 19, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Steve Baytalan; her parents, Mieczysław Niemkiewicz and Filomena Niemkiewicz; and her brothers, Franciszek of Poland, Bronisław (Lidia) of Poland and Zbigniew (Bogumiła) of Poland.
She is survived by: her children, Angela (Allen Stewart) and Greg; her grandchildren, Theresa Stewart (Sary In) and Ian Stewart (Aurélie Le Maître); her sister Bev Merrett; her cousins, Barbara Pluta and Dana Kovach; and her aunt Lydia Gastom. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
