He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnet and Clara; and his siblings, John, Anne and Margaret.

He is survived by: his children, Jim (Maite) and Sarah Foster (Jamie); his granddaughters, Mara and Lainey (Linda Porter); and his siblings, Walter (Carole) of Oakville and Mary Stephenson (David) of Peterborough. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
