She was predeceased by: her husband William Edward Smale; her parents, Thomas Moffatt and Margaret Moffatt; and her sisters, Eva and Aileen.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Campbell (Scott), Stephen Smale (Wendy) and William Smale (Tammy); her grandchildren, Eric (Meagan), Kevin (Tarah), Carley, Luke (Cindy) and Jake; and her great grandchildren, Orin, Frances, Lincoln and Suri. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and the many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Kawartha Food Share or The Salvation Army would be appreciated in honour of Velma's lifelong commitment to helping those in need.
