He was predeceased by: his parents, George Elstone and Pearl Elstone; his siblings, Margaret Dayholos (Ed) and Richard Elstone (Rhonda); and his siblings-in-law, Peter Orr, Paul Orr and Mary Orr.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Elstone; his children, Jill Watson (Chris), Janet Slater (James) and Mark Elstone; his grandsons, Liam Watson, Gordon Slater, Gregory Slater, Jacob Elstone and Ethan Elstone; his siblings, Jim Elstone (Bernice), John Elstone (Mary) and Mary Gardner (Don); and his brother-in-law James Orr (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
